Our Dedication

We, FRIENDS Kinderhilfe International e.V., have addressed the task to be friend with children in need in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is still in a human catastrophe. Under such bad conditions as often the smallest and weakest of the community – the children are suffering most.

Numerous children have lost their families, their social environment, their prospects to a liveable future due to the Tsunami and due to the long lasting civil war. In view of this situation FRIENDS would like to be good friend with the smallest and weakest in Sri Lanka. Already for years we are getting involved on site providing programs and projects to support the education and training of street children and orphans, as well as of children of poor families. Most important for us is the sustainability of our activities and the “help to self-help”.

Oriented to the requirements of the children we agitate for the aim to give children in the Third World country Sri Lanka prospects for the future.
